In collaboration with other co-founders and past Board members of the National Association of Seed and Venture Funds (NASVF), I helped create the Capital Formation Institute (CFI), a 501(c)(3) organization that fosters needed research and education on early-stage financing of entrepreneurial companies.
Since its formation in November 2004, CFI has accumulated a rich online information reserve (see www.cfi-institute.org) to help support critical new research and education programs to benefit educators, researchers, entrepreneurs, private investors, venture capital firms, economic development agencies and foundations.
CFI’s Website now includes "ViewPoints" (articles), "VC Online" (audio-on-demand interviews) and "AudioBlog" (moderated audio discussions), all valuable original contributions of leading seed and early stage investors and enterprise development professionals. Altogether CFI has published nearly 100 new titles since January 2005. Unique users of CFI’s Website, the CFI Network, now number more than 10,000 representatives from hundreds of organizations around the nation and the world.
Now CFI stands ready to conduct surveys, publish reports, organize conferences, seminars, and workshops, collect and maintain data bases, and more. However, to fulfill these opportunities, CFI needs cash donations from individuals and sponsorships by business, government, and university entities.
To support CFI’s ongoing work, I encourage individuals to make $100 donations to CFI. And may I encourage $2,500 sponsorships from business, government, university entities and others. All donations are fully tax deductible: CFI is a non-profit charitable organization (see IRS status posted at www.cfi-institute.org).

I thank you in advance for your kind consideration and donation to the Capital Formation Institute.
